Wells Fargo Signs Solar Deal to Power Hundreds of Texas Locations

“Wells Fargo signed a 10-year structured renewable energy agreement today with NRG Energy company Reliant for 62,000 megawatt-hours of annual solar energy” writes Alyssa Danigelis for environmentalleader.com. The deal, which Wells Fargo called its largest renewable energy purchase, is expected to power around 400 of the financial service company’s properties in Texas.In 2016, Wells Fargo set a two-part renewable energy goal. Most of the funding in 2018 went toward low-carbon initiatives such as green buildings, renewable energy, and sustainable technologies.
