Summit County to dismiss opioid claims against small distributor as other drug companies prepare for first federal trial

CLEVELAND, Ohio — An attorney representing Summit County said Sunday that his team plans to dismiss claims against a small health care and dental products distributor before the nation’s first federal opioid trial commences this week.The company faces other lawsuits nationwide, but Rice said the decision to drop them was only for the Summit County lawsuit.Of the distributors defending themselves at a trial that began last week in the federal courthouse in Cleveland, Henry Schein was by far the smallest.
