California Passes Ride-Share Bill That Could Upend The Gig Economy

“California lawmakers passed a bill Tuesday that would make it harder for ride-hailing and food delivery companies to classify their workers as independent contractors, a stipulation that has been at the heart of the gig economy” writes Elliot Hannon for slate.com.
