Autonomous Truck Company TuSimple Adds $95M to Rev Up Commercial Fleet

“TuSimple has pulled in $95 million more in venture funding to advance its development of a commercial autonomous fleet of trucks” writes Sarah De Crescenzo for xconomy.com. That was the year TuSimple became the first company in San Diego to test self-driving vehicles.TuSimple says it will use the money to fund its “commercial ramp-up and product development,” which is already underway.Sina believes TuSimple will be the first to bring commercial self-driving trucks to market, according to remarks by Colin Xie, vice general manager of the company’s investment department.
