26 people convicted in West Michigan cocaine trafficking conspiracy

“KALAMAZOO, MI — A total of 26 people have now been convicted in a West Michigan cocaine trafficking conspiracy, with the latest four just convicted following a nine-day trial in Kalamazoo federal court” writes John Tunison for mlive.com. The four people convicted in Kalamazoo obtained cocaine from Mayfield, prosecutors said, and redistributed it to buyers in powder form or as crack cocaine.Prosecutors say the organization distributed kilograms of cocaine in and around Grand Rapids between April 2017 and May 2018.Federal prosecutors say the four were part of a drug-trafficking organization spearheaded by Howard Anthony Mayfield of Grand Rapids.
