The police must deal with crime, not adjudicate on feelings of hatred

“If there is no substantive crime, it is not a matter for the police” writes William Philpott for telegraph.co.uk. SIR – The whole concept of hate crime is flawed and should be binned.If there is a substantive crime, it should be dealt with under the relevant legislation.SIR – If someone is murdered, that is an extremely serious crime and must be investigated by the police.
