‘Stand up if you’re an asylum seeker’: the night corporate Australia made me cry

“He and his team connect recently arrived asylum seekers who have professional qualifications with jobs or work experience in corporate Australia” writes Brigid Delaney for theguardian.com. In the foyer of the building off Martin Place there is a corporate networking event in full swing.There is no government involvement in the program, which last year placed 168 asylum seekers in corporate jobs.The job seekers have different stories, and the corporate people standing around in small groups are gripped.
