Future sex robots could become intelligent enough to cheat

“Rebekah Rousi says relationships between humans and sentient robots could become commonplace in the future” writes Guy Birchall for After 500 generations of “evolution,” 60 percent of the robots began to effectively “lie” by hoarding the resource without letting other robots know.Randy sexbots will be able to cheat on their partners and hide it from them by lying, a robotics psychologist has claimed.During the study at the Laboratory of Intelligent Systems in the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale of Lausanne, robots were designed to cooperate in searching for beneficial resources and avoid poisonous ones. The robots were then given higher marks for finding the good resource and the 200 highest scoring bots were then “mated” to create a new generation of artificial intelligence.
