Dow futures rise nearly 200 points after report shows 313,000 jobs created in February

“U.S. stock futures swung firmly higher on Friday following a jobs report for February that came in better than had been estimated” writes Anora M for marketwatch.com. Economists polled by MarketWatch had been expecting average hourly earnings to have risen 0.2%, after a 0.3% gain in January, with an overall jobs gain of 220,000.Dow Jones Industrial Average futures YMM8, +0.75% rose 190 points to 25,106, a rise of 0.8%.The U.S. created 313,000 new jobs in February, the biggest gain since mid-2016 and a reflection of the strongest labor market in two decades.Gold prices GCJ8, -0.30% eased off following the labor-market report, while oil futures CLJ8, +1.40% moved higher.
